A HOUSE FOR FREEDOM IN THE TUSCAN COUNTRYSIDE

Code n. AR112

This house is a hymn to freedom. It consists in two masonry buildings connected by a glass corridor that allows you to stay connected to the outdoors at all times of the day. It’s a special feeling, being constantly connected to the surrounding nature in a dreamlike atmosphere. Furthermore, living in a bright environment like this promotes mental and physical well-being; The renovation focuses on light through windows and glass, so as to better enjoy the domestic spaces, with the possibility of spending every hour inside in serenity and a sense of freedom. The first masonry building on the ground floor has an eat-in kitchen/dining room, a storage room, and a cozy living room. From here, a wooden staircase leads to the upper floor, where there are two bedrooms, a bathroom and a panoramic terrace. The other brick structure is a single, larger space intended for the living/dining area, but can also be used as a sleeping area, thanks to the sofa bed, conveniently located close to the bathroom. The living room opens onto the terrace overlooking the countryside. The central veranda is the heart of the home. Connected to a porch that shelters the outdoor table, it has a section equipped with a kitchenette, allowing for direct access to the outdoors, even when preparing meals or enjoying breakfast in the early morning. A portion of the ground floor is used as a garage/storage area. The surrounding 5.500 square meters of fenced land include structures used as storage and tool shells. The location is unique: in the countryside but not isolated, near two houses, forming a small hamlet yet within walking distance of the town.
